While the incoming administration is well-prepared to enact its immigration agenda over the next four years, our communities are equally ready to support, protect, and advance ourselves. Since 2020, the RICE Collaborative has united 7 organizations to advocate for immigrants and refugees in Alameda County, raising the visibility of language equity with public health agencies and advocating for culturally responsive mental health services. RICE collaborative hosted a roundtable between private and government funders and CBOs to discuss solutions for critical Mental Health emergency in immigrant and refugee communities. This intimate gathering brought all parties together to discuss the urgent needs and promising practices and opportunities in this crucial area.
