Donation for MARU
Due to drastic cuts in federal funding, the future of vital mental health services for under-resourced communities are uncertain. Take action this Mental Health Awareness Month by supporting MARU’s #MentalHealthMatters campaign.

MARU provides free-of-cost, multilingual, and culturally responsive mental health care, including individual and family counseling, wellness workshops, healing practices like Tai Chi, and advocacy for mental health access. Together, we create an ecosystem of physical and mental well-being in our community, meeting people where they are to help them thrive.
"As the daughter of immigrants, I've seen how cultural stigma and systemic barriers can make it hard to talk about mental health, let alone seek support. The strength and resilience of the people I work with serves as a reminder that healing is possible when it's rooted in connection, culture and compassion"Â - Dana Kim (she/her), Wellness Counselor
But now, with drastic cuts in federal funding — $11.4 billion to be specific — the future of these vital services remain uncertain.
"When I work with queer Asian youth, I am the most excited, because oftentimes I am the first person that understands them as the intersection of identities. As immigrants, language connects us to culture and family, and it means the world to me to be able to offer that."Â - Christine Yang (she/they), Wellness Counselor
Whether it’s a $5 donation, or sharing this campaign with your friends and family—your support can make an impact on someone’s life. Together, we can carry our work forward and keep this lifeline strong and steady.
"Investing in our work is an investment on the holistic well-being of our society. By addressing the immigrant community's mental health needs, we empower them to thrive, fostering stronger families and a more inclusive society."Â - Jooyeon Jun (she/her), Wellness Counselor

"After struggling with suicidality and being hospitalized, the counseling room became my safe haven–a space where I get to be my whole self and learn valuable tools to deal with my emotions." - Counseling Client
